What It Means to be a Mother

To love unconditionally.
To pray with your child in the morning and in the evening.
To dance and sing to music as loud as you can.
To always put on a happy face.
To give endless cuddles and kisses.
To give the children baths.
To get them ready in the mornings for school.
To get them ready for church and anything else.
To kiss boo boos to make your children feel better.
To give back-scratchings a few times a day.
To take as many photographs of your kids as you can.
To read at least four bedtime stories every night.
To listen to complete nonsense and pretend to understand.
To give your child the biggest hug in the world when you come home from a long day at work.
To do the necessary chores around the house...clean, wash dishes, laundry, cook, etc.
To plan out your family's weekly meals.
To buy all of the necessary house items including groceries.
To buy clothes for the kids, yourself...and the husband.
To make sure all the homework is finished and done right.
To organize all of the birthday parties and holiday events.
To set your foot down when need be.
To share the silence? What's that?
To share the laughter and happiness.
To hold down the fort for months when the husband is deployed.
To enroll your kids in sports and school activities.
To plan vacations, days off work, and regular week activities.
To teach your children what is right and what is wrong.
To be there when they need you.
To give the best advice you can give.
To send them off to college.
To watch them get engaged and married.
To learn to let them go when that time comes around.
To let them become a great mother or father.
And to always know and thank God for the all the blessings He has given us in this life.
That's what it means to be a mother...
p.s. I know there's a lot more to being a mother but you get the idea. :)
