This is my friend Katy. Her son Brady suffered from cancer and passed away at the age of 3. Since then, Katy has been hosting a toy drive for St. Jude in memory of Brady every year. There are soo many children today that are still suffering from childhood cancer. These are innocent children that don't deserve to live in hospitals and go through different kinds of treatments every week. They don't deserve to see tears fall from their parents sad faces everyday hoping for them to get better. These toy drives are to help brighten the day of every kid in St. Jude's hospital. St. Jude has helped soo many children and families already. Please help treat and defeat childhood cancer by donating here. Story on the toy drive hosted by the Brady Fund here.
Looking at how healthy and alive my children are makes me beyond grateful. I think sometimes we don't really understand how blessed we are. My children are HEALTHY! They're able to use their own two hands. They can walk with their own two feet. They can hear and talk. They can use their tiny little fingers to pick up stuff. They can run and climb without assistance. They don't have to take daily medication. They don't have several days where they are soo sick they can't get out of bed. Not many can say the same about their children, but I can say that about mine...and I am beyond thankful for that. If we are given the opportunity to help out in any way we can, we should. Why hesitate? It doesn't always have to be with money. There's other ways to support a child in need. Prayer is the strongest and most important because if you have faith, God can work miracles...words of encouragement is another one. Sending a smile their way. A nice happy card in the mail. Be optimistic is another important one. I'm sure there are more ways but that's all I can think of right now.
Point being, please be grateful for what you have and don't take advantage of it.
God Bless you and your families! Happy Monday!
