We first had plans to go to Wamego this past weekend to see the best firework show in Kansas but because of certain military related reasons we had to change our plans around.
On Friday we wanted to go to the Carnival in JC (the town right next to us) and ride the ferris wheel and see the Journey's cover band that night, but Evan got called in to work. We went ahead and went to the carnival just to ride the ferris wheel real quick since we planned to go to Wamego on Saturday...(which I found out later, they also had a ferris wheel and carnival going on.) Well to our dismay the ferris wheel was "closed for routine maintenance." So instead we let the kids ride a couple rides and then we had to head back to post.
On Saturday we found out we couldn't go to Wamego, so we spent the entire evening at the carnival in JC and watched the fireworks from where the rides were to keep the kids happy. Oh and once again the ferris wheel was closed and this time we found out that it actually wasn't working the entire weekend. I was so sad. Judah was pretty sad too. He kept begging to get on it and we had to keep reminding him that it wasn't working.
Even though our weekend did not go as planned, we still had a lot of fun. I've got to say, being an army wife is hard sometimes but we always try to make the best of it and I'm blessed with an awesome family to keep me happy no matter what happens.
God Bless the USA!!!
